Prototyping Challenge: What is it?
Okay, so I got this idea for prototyping challenges from Lost Garden. Danc is a pretty awesome guy and I have to give him a big round of applause for his accomplishments. I have so many game ideas I don’t know what to do with them so I’m going to start writing them down.
So what is the prototyping challenge? It’s an idea for a game that you can take and develop on your own. Actually, you’re encouraged to do so. Sometimes I may even provide graphics and storyboards for the games to help you out. Otherwise this is a great place to come if you want to make a game and you’re stuck, you don’t know what to make, or just can’t get inspired.
What’s the catch? You’re welcome to use any of these for educational or learning purposes as long as any game you make isn’t being distributed commercially. If you want to develop them commercially you’ll have to talk to me about it. I’d be willing to sell rights to any of the ideas.
